Christmas Opening Hours

Once again, council tenants will not be left out in the cold during the festive season. An out-of-hours service will ensure that emergency repairs are dealt with throughout the holiday period.

There will be a limited maintenance service that will operate all over the holidays including Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

Opening Hours

The Civic Offices, and information centres at Waltham Abbey Town Hall and Loughton Library will be closed from 12 noon on Friday 24 December 2010 and re-open at 9am on Tuesday 4 January 2011 for normal operations.

Emergency Repairs for Tenants

Tenants needing emergency repairs should contact the Civic Offices on 01992 564 000, unless the problem relates to gas appliances or a gas leak.

Problems with existing gas heating systems should be reported to T A Horn if you live in the South of the district or Gracelands (Complete Maintenance Services) if you live in the North of the district.

Gas leaks or suspected fumes should be reported to the National Gas Emergency Service 0800 111 999 (24 hours).
