Volunteers are a valuable resource for any club, they can help your club expand and develop in many different ways the only problem however, is often the cost.
Epping Forest District Council Sports and Health Development Team have developed a new volunteering scheme where your club can benefit from engaging volunteers without paying many of the costs.
The way the scheme works is; the Sports and Health Development Team will act almost as a ‘placement agency’, placing volunteers in roles in local clubs for a year. The volunteers’ expenses and continual professional development cost will be covered by the Sports and Health Development Team to ensure that the club gains all the benefits of engaging volunteers with out many of the costs.
Also in addition to covering the cost the Sports and Health Development Team will also act as a supporting body to assist clubs in every stage of the engaging of volunteers. So the benefits to clubs are not only the access to trained and highly motivated volunteers with no costs but also the possibility to be supported at every stage of the process by experienced Sports and Health Development professionals who will help at your club:
