Please note, the following activities are aimed at family groups.  We regret that owing to limited space and resources, we are unable to accommodate groups from children's activity or holiday clubs for craft activities at the museum.  These groups are most welcome to visit during regular opening hours, outside of activity times.  Thank you for your understanding.

Crafty Saturdays 2012
First Saturday of every month
12noon to 3pm

Crafty SaturdaysOn the first Saturday of each month, there will be special art and craft activities for all the family to enjoy.

No need to book, just drop in during the times given above.

£1 per child.  Family event - children must be accompanied by an adult

5 May - N.B NO CRAFT THIS MONTH
2 June - Jubilee Bunting
7 July - no crafts, but special events to celebrate the Olympic Torch in Waltham Abbey and the opening of 'China in the East' exhibition
4 August - Lady Godiva is coming to Waltham Abbey from Coventry.  Make a hobby horse to celebrate her stay here
1 Sept - N.B NO CRAFT THIS MONTH
6 October - Calligraphy with a quill pen
3 Nov - art activities for the Big Draw
1 Dec - Traditional Festive Pomanders

Jubilee Half Term Activities

As part of our regular Saturday crafts, the first Saturday of half term will give you a chance to make some paper bunting, decorated with 1950's Coronation inspired images, to get ready for the Jubilee party!

Join us to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee by making your own herbal teapot and commemorative mug out of card, with tissue paper cup cakes!

Toddlers Tuesdays
Third Tuesday of every month
Session One 10am - 10.45am, Session Two 11am to 11:45am

Child making craftLearn a nursery rhyme, enjoy a story and make a craft so you and your toddler can enjoy the rhyme back together at home! 

Free of charge but places are limited and must be booked in advance by calling 01992 716882.
Under 5's and their carers only.  Carers must stay with their toddler at all times.
