Pest Control

Epping Forest District Council provides a pest control service for rats, mice, cockroaches, wasps, fleas, ants, carpet beetles and bedbugs.

A charge is made for all treatments however a concessionary rate is available for those who are able to demonstrate that they are in receipt of housing benefit or council tax benefit.

The charge varies according to your council tax band:
• Council Tax banding A to D - standard £60, in receipt of benefit £36
• Council Tax banding E to F - standard £72, in receipt of benefit £48
• Council Tax banding G to H - standard £84, in receipt of benefit £60

The contractor reserves the right to offer a free survey for larger properties in bands F and G.

The charge includes for rats (2 visits), mice (2 visits), fleas (2 visits), ants (2 visits), bed bugs (1 visit), carpet beetles (2 visits), cockroaches (2 visits) and wasps (per nest).

If you require a treatment please call Environmental Services on 01992 564608 to make an appointment. You will be asked for your name, address and your council tax band.

We will then refer your request to our contractor, Rentokil Initial UK Limited, who will contact you to make an appointment. All fees will be collected by Rentokil, please do not send any money to the council.
