Advice and information in the event of a fire or a gas leak.

Before an Emergency

Fit and maintain smoke alarms - at least one on every floor.

Plan an escape route from every room in the building (remember that most fire deaths and injuries occur while people are sleeping).

During an Emergency

Never use the lift during a fire.

If moving or trapped in smoke stay close to the floor where the air is cleaner.
